Can drones be 3D printed in India?+
Yes. AutoAbode manufactures drone airframes, motor mounts, gimbal housings, and structural UAV components using industrial FDM and SLS 3D printing in New Delhi. Materials include PEEK, CF-Nylon, PA12, and standard engineering polymers.
What materials are used for 3D printed drones?+
For structural drone frames: CF-Nylon, PEEK, and PA12 SLS are preferred. Motor mounts and payload bays often use PETG or ASA. AutoAbode uses DRDO-qualified materials for defence UAV components.
Are 3D printed drone parts as strong as traditional parts?+
SLS-printed nylon parts are isotropic and comparable to injection-moulded nylon. FDM parts in CF-Nylon or PEEK can exceed many injection-moulded plastics in specific stress directions. All AutoAbode drone components are mechanically tested.
